The current curriculum at the IAAN is based on six Sessions. Each Session contains anywhere from four to six subjects. Each Session is self-contained and cannot be split up, unless you have exemption from such subjects. Sessions are mailed to you in one package, but as you finish each subject you submit your work to IAAN for marking. Your next Session isn't mailed to you until all the previous subjects have been marked and the new Session is paid for.
Each Session has objective study guides, reading and or writing assignments, quiz, tests and a final proctored exam after Session four and six.
An overall average mark of 80%or higher is required in order to graduate. All assignments completed and all outstanding fees owing must be paid prior to either final exam. Your graduation Diploma and Transcripts will follow after your final proctored exam. (Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery)
SESSION ONE TO FOUR:
SESSION FIVE TO SIX:
The above Sessions are grouped into the programs below:
CERTIFICATE OF APPLIED ADVANCED NUTRITION consists of Session 1 to 4. Upon completion of Sessions One, Two, Three and Four, and the proctored exam -(based on passing the exam), IAAN will award their students with the Certificate of Applied Advanced Nutrition.

You can also study one Session at a time and finish when you feel like it, without any penalty. You can pick up your studies weeks or even months later.
The IAAN should be contacted if you wish to have a sabbatical. Your time away from the Academy should be no longer than six months before you begin your studies again. The IAAN will deal with absenteeism privately and separately on an individual basis. It is to your benefit to maintain a sense of discipline, so that your studies are not delayed for a long period of time. |
